Du får fördjupad kompetens för arbete med hälso- och välfärdsfrågor, samt kunskaper och förmåga att självständigt tillämpa och bedriva förändrings- och utvecklingsarbete.The Master Programme in Health Science comprises 60 credits, given as half-time (50%) online distance learning courses over two years (four terms).The programme includes a number of courses that provide methodological knowledge and skills in order to prepare the student for the second cycle degree project and for doctoral studies, and for work in the professional arena.Year 1The first year of the programme includes two courses with a methodological orientation, one that aims to provide an understanding of health-related problems from different health and societal perspectives and one that focuses on development of knowledge and practical development.Courses: Applied Statistics in the Health Sciences - 7.5 credits Qualitative research methods in the Health Sciences - 7.5 credits Perspectives on health and society - 7.5 credits Knowledge development in multi-professional workplaces - 7.5 creditsYear 2The second year begins with a methodological course that contributes to the ability to make qualified assessments related to different research designs and to independently plan and design research or evaluation projects. In this course, a project outline for the upcoming thesis work is also developed. The programme ends with the degree thesis course. Even though the programme is offered at half speed (50%) the thesis can be conducted at quarter speed (25%) if the student so desires.Courses: Research Design - 15 credits Thesis in health science - 15 creditsThe order of the courses may change and some course names may be updated.
